Reviews of Homeopathy Rising

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I'm an experienced classical homeopath myself so I was intrigued to listen to this audiobook. Susan Marjorie Ratliff is a qualified and experienced homeopath (among other therapies) and whilst this book is touted as an introductory volume, it covers plenty of depth for someone who is relatively new to homeopathy. I liked the way she explained the various concepts as well as the reasons behind why people might want to use homeopathy rather than conventional medicine. A great audiobook.” Sam P.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I have been using Homeopathic meds for 45 years now. I have always been happy with them, and I find I am never sick. I have not even had COVID-19. I truly believe that a good nutritional diet and exercise also help, but I know that homeopathic meds have also strengthened my immune system. This book gives a great overall view of what it is all about. Thank you to Twelve Winds Press | Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Audiobooks.” Suzan S.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “In Homeopathy Rising: A Deep Introduction to Earth’s Fastest Growing Medicine, author, holistic health practitioner, and educator S. Marjorie Ratliff sets out to answer common questions about homeopathy—an often misunderstood and largely unregulated healthcare system that is nonetheless the second most widely used in the world. Drawing on current scientific research and real-world case stories, Ratliff explains the core principles of natural medicine with the goal of helping readers better understand their healthcare options and make more informed decisions about their own health.

I was drawn to this book for two main reasons. First, I’ve long preferred natural approaches to health over conventional medicine, which often emphasizes symptom management through pharmaceuticals. Second, I’ve always found the terminology and varying approaches within natural healthcare confusing. This book felt like a good opportunity to gain clarity.

I wasn’t disappointed. Ratliff presents the material in an accessible, straightforward way, clearly explaining key concepts, offering sensible comparisons, and using examples that are easy for non-specialists to follow. She makes a strong case for homeopathy while also acknowledging complexity within the field. Notably, she raises thoughtful concerns about certain trends in the homeopathic community, questioning whether moving away from well-established practices represents progress or potential risk.

I listened to the audiobook version, narrated by Becky Parker. The narration is clear and approachable, which further enhances the book’s value as an introduction to the subject.

Whether you’re curious about homeopathic medicine, disillusioned with conventional healthcare, or satisfied with your current treatment but still invested in your long-term health, this book is well worth checking out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Homeopathy Rising is a clear, convincing introduction to natural healing modalities.

S. Marjorie Ratliff’s passionate wellness guide Homeopathy Rising is about consciousness-raising via an alternative healing modality.

Addressing common questions about homeopathy, including those related to its value, history, and contrasts to allopathic medicine, the book asserts that homeopathy is a natural, effective, and safe alternative to conventional medicine…

In addition to its multifaceted case studies that reflect the complexities involved in finding successful homeopathic treatments, the book spends much time considering the potential results of people shaping their lives around homeopathic principles…

The book’s careful debunking of “controversies” around homeopathy are compelling. It is also persuasive in acknowledging the limitations of homeopathy, noting that medical doctors are sometimes needed for the treatment of conditions like broken bones or serious diseases. Still, it encourages people to supplement their care with homeopathic methods, and it does so with conviction. Its wealth of information about homeopathy makes it a convincing introduction to natural healing modalities.” Patty Sutherland, Foreward Clarion Reviews

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “As someone who prefers herbal and alternative medicine, I have long struggled to fully understand homeopathy. The concept of nano-medicine—potentized solutions containing particles so small they seem almost implausible—has always been difficult for my brain to grasp. I approached Homeopathy Rising with curiosity, skepticism, and a genuine desire to learn.

At the core of my beliefs is the idea that God designed our bodies to heal themselves. From that perspective, it makes sense that small-dose medicine could act as a stimulus, nudging the body toward healing rather than overriding its natural processes. Still, homeopathy felt like a leap—until this book helped frame it within a broader understanding of how the body responds to subtle interventions.

I’ve experienced a similar tension with acupuncture. Logically, I cannot fully explain how it works, yet I know firsthand that it helped heal my body when other medical interventions failed. Homeopathy Rising gently challenges the assumption that something must be fully understood to be effective.

One quote in particular stood out to me:

‘When pharmaceuticals became the predominant form of medical treatment in the 20th century, there was a period of diminishing mortality rates from infectious disease…but it should give us pause to consider that since that time, there has been an extraordinarily steep increase in degenerative, inflammatory, immune-related diseases. Suffering from mental and emotional health problems, and rates of infertility have also increased drastically. A host of disorders, which were rare or even unknown, have become commonplace.’

This perspective invites important questions about the long-term trajectory of modern medicine and whether symptom management has come at the expense of addressing root causes.

Ultimately, Homeopathy Rising reinforced my belief that medicine is not one-size-fits-all. While Western medicine has its place and its strengths, alternative approaches—including homeopathy—deserve thoughtful consideration alongside it. This book offers a compelling case for an integrated approach to healing, one that respects the body’s innate wisdom and seeks to treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms.

I would recommend this book to anyone curious about homeopathy, especially those who value holistic health but struggle to understand how these methods work.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “As someone who uses homeopathy, I really enjoyed this. I did have a base understanding of homeopathy but this gave me a much greater understanding of what it is, how it works and the history of it. Most people in the western world don't realize that homeopathy is integrated in the mainstream healthcare of several countries. This is a great book to dive in and learn about it. I enjoyed the narrators voice and it's also relatively short so it's not overwhelming in information.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Homeopathy Rising is an engaging and thorough introduction to homeopathic healing that I would recommend to anyone interested in alternative approaches to health and wellbeing. Drawing on the fact that homeopathy is considered the second most popular healthcare system in the world, the book does an excellent job of answering common questions about how homeopathy works, where its principles come from, and how it differs from conventional medicine.

The author guides readers through a broad overview of the fundamental principles of homeopathy, and the narrative includes a tour of scientific research, practical explanations, and real case stories that illustrate natural medicine in action. It offers an individualized, humane, and thoughtful perspective on healthcare—not just homeopathy as an isolated modality but as part of a holistic and integrated model of wellness.

I found the mix of theory and illustrative examples especially helpful. The true case stories lent life to concepts that might otherwise feel abstract, and the scientific research discussions added depth without overwhelming the reader. Whether you are entirely new to homeopathy or simply looking to deepen your understanding, this book gives you plenty to think about.

At times the information felt dense, and readers looking for a light or quick overview might find some sections more involved than expected. However, the clarity of explanation and the author’s commitment to presenting both principles and practical insights kept me engaged throughout.

Overall, Homeopathy Rising is an insightful and well-organized guide that provides a meaningful foundation for understanding homeopathic medicine. I would recommend it to readers curious about natural healing who want a balanced and thoughtful introduction.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Read the book so I had to listen to the audiobook and I must say the audiobook was so interesting and it made me forget that I already read the book. The narrator is very good and her tone suits perfectly to the audiobook. You will find information and facts on homeopathy. Methodologies and practises. I will highly recommend this audiobook and the actual book.” M.R.
